The Mattabasset Condo I Board held its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Twenty (20) proxies were received and seven (7) people attended the annual meeting giving us the needed quorum to conduct business. Thank you for turning in those proxies. Seven (7) board members were elected to serve for 2018-2019.
The Board is happy to report the 2018 budget covered the cost of many routine budgeted items such as gutter cleaning and removing and replacing needed shrubs and one tree. A new overdue lawn treatment began in 2018, the wall near building #4 was repaired and the final 13 brick front stoops were replaced. Mailboxes had an upgrade. The posts were replaced and painted and other minor repairs were made. The Board decided to trim the trees back for safety and better aesthetics. The Association had a few units with unforeseen extensive repairs. The cost of repairs pushed the 2018 budget to the limit. Snow storms are always a variable. In 2018, we had our share of storms with high snow amounts. High snow inches always cost us more. In spite of this, the Board voted to keep Condo I fees the same for 2019.
Projects for 2019
The doors covering our electrical/cable/telephone panels are still on our list for repair. Many of the doors don't stay closed. This was a 2018 project that didn't get completed.
Long Term Projects
Condo I Board has increased money in reserves for these upcoming major projects: Roof Replacements and Building Painting. Roof replacement is at the top of the list with hopes of beginning this project in 2020. Our building maintenance team has already begun the planning and pricing process. Building painting is projected for 2021-2022.
Condo I Fees 2019
The Condo I Board is happy to report that 2019 fees will remain the same. New coupons have already been delivered. Please note the new mailing address. This address is also listed on the website.

The Board would like to welcome our new unit owners. We hope you enjoy your stay on these lovely grounds. Mattabasset Condo I has some new renters as well.

Safety Reminder
Early morning and evening walkers in dark clothing are difficult to see when driving. Please use great caution when walking by carrying a flashlight and wearing light / reflective clothing. Drivers should use caution and obey posted speed limits at all times.
