The Mattabasset Condo I Board held its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. A quorum was met with 18 proxies and 7 people in attendance. To all who turned in proxies and attended the meeting, thank you.
Eight (8) board members were elected to server for 2018. A list of directors, officers and 2018 monthly meetings schedule will be delivered to you at the end of December 2017 or the beginning of January 2018. The 2018 budget for Condo I was approved.
This has been a very good year for Condo I. Among the many projects completed, the drive ways for building 5 & 6 is a high success. The Condo I Board worked very hard to get the MOA Board to approve repaving the badly pitted road in front of buildings 5 & 6. This was not an easy task as MOA's dollars were very limited. However, with much determination, this goal was accomplished. With the road improvement came the repaving of driveways for buildings 5 & 6.
The second success was the replacement or repair of 12 front door stoops.
Gutters are routinely scheduled for cleaning in the fall. Gutters needing repair are done during the cleaning.
Projects for 2018
In 2018 the 12 remaining front door stoops will be repaired or replaced, the rotten boards on existing deck walls will be replaced and the retaining wall located in the parking area of building 4 will be repaired. The doors covering our electrical/cable/telephone panels will be repaired. Many of the doors don't stay closed.
Long Term Projects
Condo I Board continues to put money in reserves for upcoming major projects; roof replacement and building painting. Roof replacement is at the top of the list with hopes of beginning this project in 2020. Our building maintenance team will soon begin the process of planning and pricing. Building painting is projected for 2021-2022.
Condo I 2018 Fees
The Condo I Board is happy to report that 2018 fees will remain the same. New coupons will be delivered the last week of December by our accountant. As always, payment coupons will be placed in your mailbox or on your front door handle. Please watch for these.
