Halloween will be here soon, and the Mattabasset Owners Association would like to provide a few reminders to help you prepare for trick or treating in the community.
- Please drive with extra caution. While the community is very well lit, there may be little ones walking throughout the neighborhood. Please obey all stop signs and pay attention to pedestrians, both in the crosswalks and on the side of streets throughout the evening.
- Put your front light on if you plan on giving out treats. As a general rule, kids will go to your door if you have your exterior front light on during trick or treating hours.
- Keep your walkway clear. If you are giving out treats, please try to keep your walkway / sidewalk clear to help keep kids safe throughout the neighborhood. You may also want to keep your driveway clear to allow for easier access to your door by younger kids.
While designated trick or treating hours have typically been from about 5:45 (or dusk) to approximately 8:00 pm, you are welcome to do whatever is most convenient for you.
